Journal Two ~ Bella Migliore

My name is Bella Migliore I'm 18 years old. I will be 19 on March 5th.  I am a freshman aka "Fresh meat " lol. I have a dog named Lizzy , I got her when i was about 10 years old. She is now about to turn 10 this year on November 18th. A fun fact about me is that on my very first cruise ship there was a teen club and I was 17 so I was I was technically still a teenager. It was my first and my last time in that club.  On the cruise ship there are two days usually Tuesday and Thursdays, anyway i dressed up on Tuesday and I just happen to match with the DJ ,His suit matched my dress. Anyway the teen club had a prom and I got voted prom queen.

                                                                         Theme

The House on Mango street has many themes in the book so far but the one that stood out to me is the trying to fit in .This is important because Esperanza is trying to fit in she constantly was moving so we was used the packing up and moving and settling  down just to get up and move again . This is Important because she is new to the area and new to the house on Mango Street. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that at least once in our lives we tried to fit in somewhere.

                                                                Favorite passage

My favorite passage was from the chapter named Marin. I Highlighted this because I love the way Cisneros described Marin. This whole chapter is my favorite.

" I am in love with those two green apples you call eyes, give them to me why don't you. And Marin just looks at them without even blinking and is not afraid.

Marin, under the streetlight, dancing by herself, is singing the same song somewhere. I know. Is waiting for a car  to stop, a star to fall, someone to change her life "

I have never been on a cruise, but have heard they are so much fun. Something about being that far out in the drink scares the heck out of me lol.

I really like the passage you choose. With How descriptive Cisneros made it, I don’t think I will ever forget it.

Great story and keep up the good work kid!
